Bladon is an attractive village located within walking distance of Woodstock and with its own much loved community. Its amenities include a popular primary school, a pub reputed to provide excellent food, a pottery and churches of two denominations. Further shopping and leisure facilities are available in Woodstock, Oxford and Witney, all accessible by bus, and it is approximately a mile to Long Hanborough railway station. Bladon is well known as the burial place of Sir Winston Churchill but it also connects with Blenheim Palace, its residents being entitled to a free pass to make use of the gate within the village centre. There are also lovely rural country walks just minutes from the village.
